easiest way (and least smelliest!)is in an old flask, half fill with hemp and then top it up (but not to the top) with boiling water, leave overnight and it should be spot on

additives ive used is salt, bicarbinate of soda (makes it darker) and chilli flakes

I like the smell of boiling hemp, just open the windows and it isn’t bad. It saves a lot of hard earned dosh, and time, and smell, to do a few batches and freeze them in 1 pint bags.

If you want to do bigger quantities in one go, along with the flask princible then you can do it in an old cool box (get a cheapie from the car boot!) That way you can do enough for a few sessions and freeze it!

bicarb will make it darker . chili will make it hot~hand If you make a big batch (when her indoors is out lol) dont stick all your flavours , spices, to the whole lot. Experiment with it .
Personally I just use it plain boiled, or boiled then liquidised, and add some to my ground bait.

Rather than bicarb try putting 1 or 2 iron tablets (from pharmacy)in the pan, grain goes a lovely black colour

Iron tablets work on tares and maples to. Turning them a nice blue black colour.
