TF_Irk the puristsThe rocking roller is the original Boss Roller design… the double tilting was a heavier (chunkier) Daiwa copy of the original Boss Roller…..
All makes sense to me!! ~sick

TF_whatsaroachI have 2 of the Preston flat rollers admittedly quite old both are RUBBISH !i would not buy them again the plastic is not up to the design ! As i say they were purchased about 3 years ago and the new versions may be stronger but once bitten twice shy so i wont buy any more.

TF_stu.sDaiwa’s new rocking roller is the same as the mosella one and is sh*te,the ends break off and there is too large a gap between the upright and flat rollers, you will not beat the original daiwa/boss roller, just look at how many are still being used after all this time.~clap

TF_Irk the puristsJust to clarify Stu’s contribution….. the Daiwa/Mosella copy is described as the (tilting) roller on the website……
Oh….. and he’s right of course!!

TF_nickswolvesIve got one of the original boss double rollers (black and green one) which is fine but quite small and would like a second roller to go with it for longer pole lengths.
Is the rocking roller the better model then?
Is the preston flat roller improved recently?

TF_Irk the puristsif you have the smaller static double Boss roller then combined it with a rockin’ bigger one you have a great combi if you are going to fish with a long pole…

TF_Mr WhippyDont get the £30 daiwa one, poor build quality and the rollers don’t always roll, you end up with the pole sliding on it and its fairly low at full height. I am going to get the £45 daiwa one, as it goes quite high.

TF_nickswolvesI will check out the rocking rollers then, seem consistant in good feedback and guessing still fairly light. How many rollers is best for say 11, 13, 14.5 and 16m of pole?
