TF_MICK THE BOOKIE~clap ~clap ~clap ~clap
24 fished Pittance and Horseshoe lakes today.12 on each lake,2 sections of 6 on both lakes.Winners of sections receiving 6 points.
1.Don Garnish peg 3 H/SHOE…..85lbs 07oz.
2.Tony Kent peg 18 PITTANCE..57lbs 12oz.
3.Mick the Book peg 3 PITTANCE.47lbs 04oz.Section 1.Gavin Clarke peg 12 PITTANCE.35lbs 14 oz.(DEF)
Section 2.Reg the Edge peg 16 PITTANCE.30lbs 04 oz.(DEF)Section 1.Jeff Simmons peg 6 H/SHOE…39lbs 08oz.
Section 2.Garry Clifford peg 7 H/SHOE..37lbs 12oz.(DEF)The weather was fairly good today lads, with some bright spells.
Don G caught mainly F1`S up in the water for his good weight, and victory.
Tony Kent, myself and all the good weights on Pittance were caught down the edge.
To be honest it fished fair for some on Pittance, but for about half it was a bit dire.
Next round in a weeks time on Old lake and Horse shoe…….MTB. -

TF_MICK THE BOOKIEPeter and Lord Snotty……..You can both FRO…lol.
As you know on this site i made my name on the match circuit with my prowess with rod and line, especially the “Magic Wand”.This is one of the reasons Ross Nursey(Rossn)has a attitude problem with moi. Before i arrived at Willinghurst he was the King with running line, and he didnt like the competitition……I am only Joking Ross, dont blow a fuse mate.
However in this match i had 4 fish on the tip,and only 1 “Ron and Reggy” on the wag.The rest were down the edge, but please dont ask me how i caught as that is priveledged information…..Massive lol. ~shh ~shh ~shh ~shh ~shh -

TF_toplightsI thought Mick had stopped posting Ross, must have upset you when he started up again.I think he’s now doing “teach ins” if you fancy it.Had a few off him before, they dont seem to work.~hand ~clap ~clap

TF_PikeyI just knew that the Bookie had caught some fish when I saw he’d posted the result !
I have a feeling that Plummers emigration may be a short one once he realises that the fish in Cumbria don’t eat tangerine sized bits of paste !

TF_toplightsActually the lake (Pittence)was won off peg 18(well done Tony Kent) not usually a winner of the lake.It just shows that Carp do follow a wind and it had been blowing to that end for some time.
Peg three is normaly not the peg you would run to,reasonable but not that good, there are a few pegs the regulars would rather have.
Like 5/10/12/13/14/16 under normal conditions.
Well done Mick. -

Tony…….Don`t forget you and Pikey are needed badly for our match against Herbies mob on the 12th of June.Could you drive down from Cumbria, pick Pikey up at Ashstead and take him to Cirencester, fish and then take him back to Ashstead and then you can go back up North….lol…….Seriously though mate we would love you to fish it….MTB….TAKE CARE.xxxx~think ~think ~think

Jamie…Yes you are indeed correct….I have phoned the organisers of the League, and it is MOLESEY…..I think.Which i understand to be an off-shoot of the old Molesey Thamesiders club.I am sure one of the original members will confirm as much…..Toplights might be the man who knows……. He`s old enough….lol.~think ~think ~think ~think

TF_toplightsCorect,It was origionally Molesey Thamesiders Match Group, with the demise of the Mother Club, we reverted to Molesey Thamesiders.
Dave Powel started it and the late Barry Davidson of the old Molesey tackle shop used to give us a bit of a discount ect cause we used to advertise his shop.
As an aside,Molesey Thamesiders still hold the record points score when winning the Prestigious Thames Championship. It will never be beaten as at the time i think there where
120 odd teams of 12 and the event was fished over 20 odd miles of the upper thames.
Teams that took part that day where the best in the country,it was the highlight of all the molesey team members match fishing careers,me included. We still think on that day with enormous pride. -

TF_MICK THE BOOKIEBTTT…..Our David(Pikey)walked round the picturesque Willinghurst venue(knee deep in mud)today with his wife Carol. He told me he would be posting the result of week two,but i think he must have gone to bed early(romantic sod),so we will have to wait until he comes home from work….lol.
