Shimano AX & BX

  Sorry to ask the following question, but i am a little confused by the lettering after Shimano products.
  
  When looking at rods & poles etc, which one would be the higher spec the AX or the BX, or is the AX or the BX an older version.
  
  Any help to enlighten me would be great.

  The Shimano Antares Rod range went Antares, then Antares AX and the latest is Antares BX.
  
  The Beastmaster went AX then BX so it looks like BX is the latest rod range. I’m sure the pole range follows suit.
  
  I’m sur Mr.Ringer will confirm but he maybe at Whiteacres in the rain.

  It never stopped raining down there.
  
  Paulstan is right though, the BX is the newer version.
