Went for a wander on Sunday to see the weigh in on Horseshoe lake. What a sight, I just wish I’d fished the league now, I think I’d have picked up some easy money.

        Mick “Wicket” Keeper……Horseshoe 14……81-0-0
        Mick Fitzpatrick……..Old 5…………60-0-0
        Ian Summers……Old 26………….40-4-0
        (Including the tame 23-0-0er)

Mick the Bookie had half the lake to himself on Horseshoe and weighed 35lb but lost enough to put him in the frame.

Bloody cheek…..Peg 9 is one of the worst pegs on the lake.I had 2 F1`s and 1 carp on the floating pole, and 4 good fish down the edge at 14.5 mtrs,in the last hour and half.Yes i did lose 2 lumps at the net…the first one(15+),i played for 15mins.By this time Mick Keeper had the match sewn up.
I don`t know how long it will last, but after two matches i am leading the league with 11 points….So up yours Pikey….Massive lol…By the way my weight was 36lbs 12oz…hehe.~shh ~shh ~shh ~shh

MTB – Shut up ! Peg 9 is one of the best edge pegs on the lake, especially when they peg it like they did with 9,10,11 and 12 in as you had an angler free corner to fish towards.

The fact that you are leading the league after 2 rounds confirms my opinion that there was some easy money to be made ! LOL

Good luck in future rounds, I’ll no doubt be down to watch a few more weigh ins.

Now look here OUR David….Firstly PEG 9 is severly cut off by peg 7,which restricts you from using the tip and wag(my forte)with any efficiency….Especialy a man of my calibre who casts where he likes…lol.
Secondly..Joey Clarke,a very good angler was on peg 7 and made me keep to my boundaries(rotten git). But also spent most of his match down to his left edge, and only had 3 good fish from that line.
Thirdly and most importantly,Mick Keeper also had a peg with alot of water. And imo Don Garnish had the best peg(edge) on the lake and struggled…..I think my feeding patern,5 maggots with a kinder cup was the big factor….Massive lol….And yes,as Jason has stated the size 20 hook was crucial.~clap ~clap ~clap ~clap ~clap

Why would you need to fish “Out” when nearly all the carp were caught in the edge !

MAGGOTTS ?????? – You’d have emptied it with corn !
