Report:
The Wednesday KOBRA Open on Lake 2 at Dynamite Baits Makins was fished in a cold strong NW wind with heavy rain showers, and all on the B bank except third placed Mark Griffiths ‘abandoned ship’ before the match ended (in spite of most catching carp and bream).

Winner was the in form Shaun Claire (Dynamite Matchman Supplies) with 121 lb 14 oz of carp. Drawn on peg A15 (one peg off where he won Sunday’s Teams of 3) Shaun fished method feeder both to island and ‘down the track’ to take carp steadily throughout the match. Runner up Sam Brown (Dynamite Baits Makins) fished method feeder in the deep water on peg A20 for his 97 lb 6 oz catch, whilst Mark Griffiths (Ringer Baits) fished bomb with corn and pellet bait for his third placed 91 lb 14 oz from peg B17.

Report:
The Thursday Kobra Open, fished over Snake and Reptile on Phase 2 in a cold NW wind and heavy rain after an overnight frost, produced reasonable sport.

Top weight of 53 lb 8 oz of carp was taken by local angler Andy Inglesant (Attleborough Angling) from Snake 19, mainly from the margins on corn presented on long pole. Runner up Andy Findlay (Preston Innovations) fished Reptile 7 and recorded 49 lb 14 oz taken on pellet presented on Long Pole from the margins.

Next weeks Thursday Kobra Open (8 April) will be on Phase 3 (Thames and Inner Avon), 10 am draw.
