However I’m not convinced that the article was not an attempt at an April Fools joke.
I’ve not seen many serious match anglers wearing gloves when pole fishing. Even in the middle of winter.

the ones your looking for are marigold px130
i’m almost certain they’re the same as simon fry wears.
they do keep the worst of the cold off your hands but if you cut the finger ends off obviously they’re no longer waterproof.
they do also help when shipping too.
i find it’s best to coat your hands with vaseline before you put them on to keep the cold at bay in the depths of winter.
although now spring is springing unless your a bit delicate you won’t be needing them.
