Suprised the TF punters club haven’t started a thread already. After the bloodbath that was Cheltenham I’ll be looking to reecoup a bit over the next 3 days and a short priced double of Somersby and Big Bucks should start the week off ok. Somersby ran a blinder at Cheltenham and the step up in trip will help, can’t see anything beating BB.
For the National I’ve decided to treat last year as a freak and stick to the stats. Ruthless application of binning everything above 11 stone, the french breds, the 7 year olds, dodgy jumpers and horses totally out of form I’ve got it down to:
Big Fella Thanks (controversial eh?).
Snowy Morning and King Johns Castle who are both well in at the weights based on the National 2 years ago.
Arbor Supreme who really is my idea of a value bet, I can only conclude falling off him put AP off.
And finally State of Play who hasn’t done much lately but is now back to a good handicap mark based on his best form.
Arbor Supreme and BFT will probably end up carrying my dosh.
