Report:
Carp were showing all over Dynamite Baits Makins Lake 2 for the Wednesday KOBRA Open, with all anglers catching carp.

The top two came from opposite ends of the lake, where local anglers Gaz Harper (Hinckley) on peg B12 and Terry Phillips (Attleborough Angling) on A20 went fish for fish on method feeder throughout the match. Gaz came out on top with 87 lb 2 oz to Terry’s 80 lb.

Kobra Feeders backed pair John Adamson (peg B21) and Fred Coxon (peg B15) took the next two places with 67 lb 12 oz and 66 lb 6 oz respectively, John catching on method feeder and Fred on long pole and pellet.

Report:
The Thursday KOBRA Open, fished on Thames at Dynamite Baits Makins, fished reasonable well although successful pegs differed completely from the previous match.

Korum and Preston Innovations backed ace Andy Findlay marked up his fifth Thursday win on 2010 with 77 lb from peg 20. Andy fished pellet towards the island end on long pole to take carp of all shapes and sizes steadily throughout the day for a clear win.

Runner up John Adamson (Kobra Feeders) fished long pole and paste for 11 carp and 4 barbel from peg 15 for his 56 lb 4 oz, Danny Ross (Wykin AC) taking third place from peg 7 with 43 lb 10 oz of carp and bream on pellet.

Fourth place fell to Burton-on Trent angler Frank Didio, who fishing his first match took 39 lb 6 oz from peg 11 on pellet and corn.

Next week’s Thursday Kobra Open (15 April) will be on Reptile and Crater (Phase 2).
