  Well done to dave bacon ‘Bacsey’ (on here). he had 105lb and i think was 5th, from peg 87. i drew peg 71 on lodge and was next to Andy Neal, who was then next to Darren Cox. It fished hard, had two carp and two skimmers, the same as Andy. Darren had 3 carp near the start and then the lake just died. It was enjoyable sitting in the sun just watching the carp cruise around.

  I had 2 skimmers from middle 36. 35 looked at his peg and went home! 34 fished an hour and a half then packed up, so they knew the area was poor.
  Ray Hayward also had an empty peg next to him, the peg was in, but not fished. There were anglers there that didnt get on too but as far as i am aware, there were the only 2 pegs not fished, and no one packed up early either.

  Had a great day today and thought i might win it after one and a half hrs had 6 fish for 60lbs then a big lull but managed another six and ended up with 105lbs,well done to the winner and i hope he has a great day at cudmore,and also well done to viaduct for running a very tidy match on a top venue.

  Fair play to you nigel,the reason i had a lack of smiles was i thought i had 120lbs + and was in contension of winning but on reflection a great day and a good buzz.

  I HAD 60 ODD ILBS ON LODGE WITH CASTER SHALLOW ON THE POLE, ONLY PERSON TO BEAT ME ON MY LAKE CAME 2ND IN THE MATCH, HE ALSO WON MY SECTION.THAT MEANT TO WIN MONEY I NEEDED TO WIN THE MATCH?? A BIT UNFAIR TO ME, SECTIONS SHOULD BE BY DEFAULT WITH A PAYOUT AS GOOD AS THAT ONE IS.
