Weekly Report ending 11th April 2010
There have been a number of 100lb+ catches this week to both pleasure and match anglers. With the weather warming up the fish are in the margins and coming up in the water. The best baits have been red maggot or pellet.
Top Pool
The bowl area is producing lots of f1 carp and commons. All pegs have lots of f1 carp, roach, perch, bream and tench fishing in the margins and up/down in the water.Bottom Pool
Big fish have been feeding in the margins late afternoon with corn being the best bait. Lots of silverfish to pellet or maggot at 4m to 10m. 4 carp between 18lb to 22lb caught mid week.House Pool
Again the fish are now in the margins and pellet is working better here. Slop groundbait used with loose feed pellets has been working the best. This method is working at 8m as well.House 2/Extension Pool
F1 carp, roach and bream in the margins to red maggot and at 8m to pellet or maggot. Some bigger carp on island pegs fishing tight to the island with the waggler or pole.New Pool
F1 carp are all over the pool up and down in the water with lots of silverfish. Red maggot has been the best bait. The odd tench in the margins on corn.Canal Pool
Some big weights caught this week on maggot up in the water with four 100lb+ weights caught by pleasure and match anglers. Most of the fish have been caught at 8m to 10mClub Pool
Pellet has been the best bait for all fish, fishing at 8m to 14m. The odd big bream and small barbel on inside line fished on the bottom.RESULTS FOR OPEN CONTESTS
