None of my loacl shops have one in stock, so have any of you had a look at this rod?

Is the action softer than the older 11ft Carbonactive?

That is what I have heard from another guy I know, sounds perfect. I use the original for proper waggler fishing quite a lot, recently I had 117lb of skimmers and tench in a match using it, but sometimes would like something a bit softer in action so I can scale down a bit.

Ive just ordered one from my local shop!

I will stick up a post on what I think of the rod when I get my hands on it to try.

I was never a fan of any Preston rods until I got hold of a 11ft Carbonactive as they used to call them when they first appeared in 2006, I’ve caught thousands of pounds of carp on the two rods I have and they are still as good as the day I brought them.

I picked up the rod today and it looks and fees superb. Exactly the same action as the old 11ft rod but a little bit softer and lighter.

Will be out tommorow tench and skimmer bashing with the wag to try it out!

you will want to buy another one after you used it.

Nn tench, but caught plety of bream/skimmers to 3lb on the rod today on the wag and pellet and I must say it is great! Perfect for venues less than 7ft deep at ranges up to about 25-30 meters. ~clap
