elastic drooping

        I fished today for the first time with doubled 5 elastic.

        Throughout the session however i had to keep re tensioning the elastic at the bung as it kept drooping out of the tip after playing a fish.

        Is this normal for new elastics even though i gave it a good stretch before elasticating my top kit?

        If not any ideas what might be up? The bush is plenty big enough.

            yes i agree,
            it needs bottoming out at least twice before you put it in the pole.
            preston flouro stretches at least six feet further on the first and second stretch i think this is one of the main reasons why people don’t get on with doubled elastics ~think

              It is best to stretch all elastics even doubled before you use it, all you have to do is attach it to your door handle and stretch it.I read that is what Bob Nudd does before he uses his elastics.So if it is good for him then it is good for us
