        hi all hoping to fish the open on sat think its on suez and brewsters.just wondering what baits are best also what line diameter cause not sure of fish size. do i need to fish tight over or just down the slope.

          Line 0.14 to 0.12 hooklength, hook size 18 B911 or similar (ie pellet-type hook).

          Elastic no lighter than grey hydro, Suez now contains loads of mirrors approx 3lbs and upwards.

          Most fish are over in either 2.5 ft of water or up the rat holes (1 foot deep) but also now catching far more in nearside margins on Suez and Brewsters. You can also catch shallow down the middle in deeper pegs.

          I would fish pellet over, meat in the margins, and pellet shallow down the middle. Exploit any extra space you have got in your peg.

                  all i can tell you mate is that last time i fished it all i caught across was little skimmers on suez fished down the edge in the last 2 hours and had a fish a chuck not alot of help i am afraid
