Well done also to my travel partner and mate Ben Emery who was second with 78lbs and a lake win.I also won my lake and finished 5th with 49lbs 4oz only 4oz better than matt hall who was also on my lake and fished 6th.

sean left it late he was 33rd on the waiting list and got the last ticket whether its a flyer or not it was the last in the hat

i realise there might be spare tickets on this one as it was a changed venue but 33 spare tickets ~sick ~sick even tunnel barn farm had spares can’t see it at lake view yet there hasn’t been that many practicing for it so you never know~think ~think

Not that much of a flyer the lad on 25 avon had 1 fish and so did the lad the other side of the bridge. In fact it fished rubbish i was on outer avon 22 and had 19lb something and was best weight on outer the bloke on 23 blanked and he came all the way from kent, the bloke on 20 had 15lb and i didn’t see any one else weigh in. Mind you i bloke who should have been on inner avon peg 2 fished outer avon peg 2 and knackered it for the lads on 1 and 3. Being able to read and count should be mandatory to enter fisho .~think

The guy who fished peg 2 on outer Avon instead of inner, was no other than Johnny Howard. I had peg 9 on Inner and only caught in the last hour to put 35lb in the net and finish 1lb short of a section win. ~hand

Outer Avon 2 is never put in, can’t believe that no one queried it when he sat there.

Avon 25 hasn’t fished well for ages now, hardly been a fish off it

Drew peg 17 on Paddock and was 2nd best on there with 29lb but all of us knew we were never ever in the match. My peg was 10m wide! The last 2.5 hours were dire with hardly a fish caught – didnt get the impression the lake was too well stocked!

Inner avon 2 was one of my choices of my top ten pegs to win the event as its well capable of winning overall,if as stated the guy has sat on outer avon 2 instead then when he finds out he will be kicking himself.
i believe the two guys on outer avon 1 & 2 were actually travelling partners aswell ~sick

Phil totally agree with that comment,trev would have been proud as we both know that trev spent alot of time fishing with sean.Hope he does well in the final would be the icing on the cake~clap ~clap ~clap

Spoke with Sean today …was in his usual modest way…..said he’s enjoying his fishing this year……he probably had a bad one last year ……possibly only won about 25 matches !!!!!……in fact matches Sean has won in a season is probably what i’ve won in my life !!…..hes awesome , would love to go to the final , i think its in July.
Think Rob Wootton will go with Sean unless he gets thro on another qualifier…..as Sean went last year when Rob qualified.
