Jason White drew peg 22 and fished a small pellet feeder with corn and pellet on the hook cast tight to the island after a slow first hour the carp turned up and he had a fish most casts out till the end of the match, his biggest fish going just 4lb in his 76lb 8oz haul. 2nd placed Pete Hodgetts fished the pole and meat up in the water and the waggler with meat also up in the water cast to the lily pads at peg 34 he landed 23 carp – 8lb for a total of 67lb 4oz.

After an hard white over frost the sun came out and the lake was flat calm, hardly ideal conditions but Ian Rowney made the most of the end peg draw fishing pellet up in the water and worm down the margin he landed 16 carp – 8lb in his total of 57lb 5oz. Not far behind was Gateford Angling Supplies Mick Drage he had 7 carp – 7lb plus 15lb of roach and stockies all caught on the pole and pellet fished at 6m from peg 17.
