With a cold north east wind blowing down the lake it was more like a winter league but it didn’t bother 15 year old Jake Hemmings fishing the traditional summer bait, paste on the pole at 11m at peg 24 sitting and waiting for his bites he managed to hook 16 carp his biggest being 12lb and an adult total of 92lb 12oz. 2nd place went to Mick Smith drawn on the bore peg 31 he fished pole and meat on the deck and up in the water landing 87lb 8oz of carp – 7lb

One of the best matches at the fishery so far this year 70lb got you in the top six and over half the field weighed in over 50lb.
Finishing way out in front Alan Warren fished the pole and meat at 12m up in the water on the bore hole peg 31, catching from the off he had 70lb in the net in the first hour, he landed over 30 carp during the match his best being about 12lb weighing in the best catch from the lake this year a massive 157lb 7oz. 2nd place went to fishery regular Norman Powers casting a pellet method feeder and pellet on the hook to the aerator catching all match he landed 95lb 4oz of carp – 5lb.

Making the most of drawing hot peg 41 John fished the pole and corn down the margin at the bottom of the inside shelf catching tench and skimmers – 2lb and later in the match landing half a dozen carp – 7lb. 2nd placed Lionel went all out for the carp fishing the pole and paste out at 7m landing 11 carp – 7lb and finishing just one sort putting 45lb 11oz on the scales.
