I am moving back to a smaller box from a Rive and need a barrow platform.

I previously had a Dick Clegg aluminium one with my lasty “small” box and it was very good – these are no longer available but I could try for a used one.

Is there anything else worth looking at?

        cheers

The fox match barrow platform is rated highly so i would suggest you have a look at that.

i agree, got one myself, but it’s enormous, it might actually be too big for the OP as he’s gone for a smaller box?

True but that means more space for your gear etc. I would rather it be too big than too small personally.

I still love my riverrock. I do have one spare which is for sale including the trolly.

managed to pick up a dick clegg aluminium one this evening so will see how I get on.

Thanks for the tips – Fox was next choice, there are not many options at the moment it seems

I bought a Penrose Super XL for my Rive D25 for wading out and it’s brilliant! I use it more so as a barrow for my carryall, pole rollers, buckets etc. And have my Rive on it’s wheel kit. I dunno how I done without the barrow before! Heavy but is pretty good.

Fox match has a few minor problems, I have one.The handles need strengthening as the screws compress the square ali tube.A lot of people i know who have these have done this. The bracket that houses the wheel dowel seems a bit soft , I have had to tap mine square once or twice. You have to tighten the legs as hard as you can they can slip i found my penrose more secure.Apart from that quite a good barrow.

Check out the Riggers platforms advertised in Match Fishing. Perfect for smaller boxes and very well made.

Sorry to hi jack but i was at WA last week and one of he lads from Chiltern baits had a wheel kit made for a Rive that was really easy to cart about.
Good balance and everything, it had three holes that attached to one side via a bar that went on every leg and same again on the other side with a handle.
To be honest just needed 2 wheels and not a tractor one.
Any idea of the company? Anyone?
