Best advice is when you get there see if there are any spare places with the clubs that have booked the decent end of the lake !!!!!!!!!!!

Three approaches:-

1. method at distance for carp and bream. The bream go to about 3 – 4lbs. Carp average 6ish.

2. Pellet waggler as far as you can feed.

3. Pole. 13m with balls of groundbait for bream and carp. Down inside for bigger carp towards end of match. Meat and paste.

You have to decide dependant upon the day because of the weather….are they up or down.

I’d start on the method after groundbaiting the pole line. Put out some pellets to see if there is any response on the pellet line.

If it was me i would fish the method at range with floating dead red – between 3 nd 6 should do and fish pellet on the pole for the silvers.

I guess your club only fishes it once a year and has no one in it who is mates with maver, its amazing how knowing the right people gets the best pegs week in week out
