I would cup in chopworm and caster and wait for bites, then pot or catty 3 or 4 loose casters every minute or so. Casters are not very filling so its not as if you would be feeding them off.

Last saturday I fished a club water and my feeding was little and often. I started by filling a fox match toss pot with pellet and putting one pot at 13m by an island and another pot on my 5m line. I got bites instantly and caught fish all day long.

What I was doing was catching 2 fish off one line, feeding a toss pot full of pellet and then going onto my other line. Getting 2 fish from there, feed a toss pot and so on. It worked really well and I caught some good fish too.

However not all tactics work on all venues so you’ve got to just try different things. If I was you i would start with a tiny amount of bait like i did and go from there. You can always put more bait in but you can’t take it out.
