TF_JEFFERS15have only fished it a couple of times, but pellet wag or bomb with pellet on tanners, woodpecker and possibly josephs. single or double 8mm or single 11mm. not sure about pines, lots of smaller fish in there. pegs 35, 36, 1-4 on tanners if the wind is right. was on tanners 32 last year, weighed in 55lb, only 8lb behind des shipp who was on 35. will try to catch a few more this year.

TF_JEFFERS15gloves, you can get pellet there in the shop, which is stocked with everything you would need to fish there. i only know of 1 cafe around there, but it does not open till 9am, which wont be alot of use.

and if so can i get hold of pellet there ?the only feeding place open is the little thief on the a 30 oakhampton road. opens at 7am. zaks in winkleigh opens at 9am. pellet in the shop
there,s also 2 thiefs on the 303 that you will pass.
1. chard turning end of ilchester bypass.
2. if you continue over the blackdown hills towards honiton there,s 2 more. other than that A303/M5/A30 for 18 miles come off at services sign. winkleigh is signposted from the garage/thief. 15 minute drive to s/m. bring 8mm pellets -

Steve SAs Jeffers has stated there is a Macd’s at Cullompton, but the services/garage there does food (Bacan rolls etc) which used to be very good and resonably priced with a few seats to sit on.
Stafford fished very hard last week, peg 36 Tanners winning it with 170lb plus, with peg 3 and 1, 2nd and 3rd. Nasty northwest wind blowing into peg 36. Winner fished 11mm and 2 x 8mm pellet on the lead just past the bridge. Woodpecker fished just as hard and Joseph’s fished very hard with only 60lb winning the lake. It all depends on the wind and where it is blowing. Last year’s fisho was won from peg 18 Tanners because of the wind and previuos to that peg 36 Woodpecker. Andy has put alot of smallish Carp (up to 2lb) into Pines, which produced a near 100lb match weight three weeks ago, peg 24 i think. The shallows on Joseph’s could throw up a large weight, but they are very difficult to get out. Joseph’s dam wall is fishing very hard, i know i drew pag 6 on the wall Sunday. I was the only person on the wall to have more than one Carp, 3 for nearly 32lb, big fish. Joseph’s and Dam wall equals big baits and bog fish. 12 bites could easily be 120lb plus.
Hope this helps..

TF_Nigel.If you eat at the local Little Chef, park in the car park, not out side the blokes house next door, because he will stick an A4 peice of paper on every window of your car saying ‘dont park in front of my house!’
It took me ages to get em all off!~think

AnonymousGloves, might be worth contacting the Rams Head Inn at Dolton to see if you can book in for brekkie in the morning..They do bed & breakfast and we have booked in for brekkie in the past when we have not actually stayed there mate.
Dolton is only a couple of miles down the road from Stafford Moor. -
