  It gives me great sadness to report that Peterborough match angler Martin Howard died suddenly on Wednesday.
  
  Those who knew Martin will, I am sure, remember him as a fine angler and a great bloke.

  Hi i am martin howards brother and i have just seen all the kind messages. My family and myself would just like to Thank you all very much. It has been so nice to see how well my brother is thought of in the fishing world. My family say that all of his friends are welcome to come to the funeral and wake.   Hi just to let you all know Martin howards funeral is going to be monday 24th may at dogsthorpe methodist church at 2pm and then at eastfield cemetery on eastfield road near dogsthorpe. At 3pm. we will also be having a wake. All people that know martin are welcome to come and show there respects. Keiron Howard.

  Just seen this, am very shocked and saddened.
  
  I sold Martin some gear late on last year, and we spoke on the phone quite a few times and corresponded through PM’s on this site, what a genuinely nice guy, who was keen to share some of his knowledge with me.
  
  My thoughts and condolences to the family.
