        How does the spectron power shape up against the modern competition poles like the maver421 browning z9 for instance?
        I have recently bought the spectron power 16 meter a brand new example of this now discontinued pole.
        I had considered long and hard about a tournament pro but even at the knock down price of £1800 pounds couldnt afford or justify that amount of cash.
        However a number of brand new spectron power poles appeared on e bay and i watched carefully what they reached at auction and eventualy got one for £940+£10 delivery.
        THis was the full spectron power package with4 extra match top 3 kits, short no 4 , half extension and three long power number 1 bbk kits and a holdall.
        A bargain buy at that price? dont you think almost half the price of a tourney pro ok you dont get the extra long no 4 sections and the holdall is a team daiwa but still a great package.
        The general view is the spectron power is almost identical to the pro.
        What do spectron power users think after using the pole for some time?

          See them red triangles on the pro and the purple on the power, thats the only difference between them, they are the same weight, ive had them side by side, as you say, just got a different package, ive had a few top end poles, my last being a G10, gone back to a spectron power, should never have sold my first one.

            I don’t think the Spectron Power will be a patch on the Browning Z9, it will be heavier, not as stiff or as responsive but the Spectron will be stronger. It all depends what you want it to do, if you want a pole to use on commercials, lakes and canals and you have £2000 to spend then get the Z9. If you want a pole for commercials mostly and have £1000 to spend get the Spectron power.

                you got a z9 then craig bet it aint £1000 better than a daiwa
