TF_Nigel.It was solid i admitt, lol.
I had 14 fish in total, lost 4. (av 9lb, biggest 15lb)
First 9 in the first 2 hours, no problem, all going smooth, then the wheels fell off!
If i cast long i was on the island, left right or short i was in a snag, but the fish were coming though the snags, untill no 10 snaged me.
I pulled, gave it slack, but it was stuck, and eventualy the line broke. I tied a bomb on and was 10 yards short, so i unclipped, and cast onto the island, and pulled for a break only to break at the rod tip. Recast and i didnt have enough line to reach (75 turns) so picked the other rod up, only for EXCATY the same thing to happen again, chucked it on the island and broke at the spool this time!
I then had to take a waggler reel off and reset up again, for the umpteenth time, in total i lost over an hour just getting reset up and back into my ‘hole’ where the fish were.
I had 5 more in the last hour so it was worth it.
I lost all my line off 2 reels, at least 10 method feeders, all my clip swivels, and all 20 hooklenths i had with me.What a snag pit!~clap

TF_CutnutA snag pit man made thanks to BW cutting the reed beds down to water level. A floating feeder may prove more effective in the coming months. ~shh
All that line you left trailing away from the island, plus all the terminal tackle combined with everyone elses lost treasures will only make it a better snag pit. A very costly peg to be on in a club match and maybe only a break even one in an open!!

TF_Nigel.My casting was sock on for 2 hours Lee. But as i was running out of method feeders and leads, i was having to use my 45g Method feders, which go an extra yard or two when you hit the clip, and end up on the island!~think
Thanks Joff!~clap
It is a snag pit Pete, i did get one line back, dont know how but did. The peg is 52, and a local stood behind me, and said the tree is like a xmas tree full of feeders in the winter.
It must be the same underneath with all those old reed beds cut off!
