TF_Smedfunny you guys should say that, it was a VACUVIN that i broke!
allthough ive had it for a while i didnt really like it tbh, i found i couldnt pump the pressure up high enough to sink pellets… seemed to get to a certain pressure then stay there no matter how much i pumped, i thought it must of been a dodgy seal?anyway the best one ive ever had was one of those round ones about half a litre with a white plastic lid, very much like the browning ones but with no brand name ( the browning one was the worse ive ever bought!) cant seem to find one of them anywhere, you could actually see the sides squeeze in until you couldnt pysically pump any more air out lol!
even the ringers 3mm cold water pellets sunk with that one!! and stayed sunk lol!
anyway thx guys for the replys!

TF_Serious SamSonu baits one is good, is a white one just like you described.
Had a vacuvin and it did sink pellets quicker than any pump I’ve used BUT they’re not made for the job and crack around where the pump fits if you put any pressure on them.

TF_matchpleasureI dont understand why people use them to be honest, i’ve never owned 1. you only need a pump if your doing large quantities for feeding which i never do as normal coarse pellets are better especially in summer when the fish are more active. Ijust soak the pellets in just enough waterto cover them and add some gelatine…dead simple!

TF_Serious Sam?
Pumping is easier and quicker – I take a handfull of Ringers coldwater with me, pump them on the bank in lake water and they’re ready to us in two minutes, what could be easier than that ?

TF_Mike HerringtonSmed – I use an old oasis drinks bottle (I have about 5 of them) because they have a wide neck.
Put your pellets in the bottle, fill to the top with water, screw the lid back on and squeeze the sides of the bottle. they will sink, when you take the top off the bottle they will float again and the water will have dropped about 1/2 inch….top up the bottle, squeeze again and 99% will sink.
I then drain off the excess water leaving a little bit to cover the pellets, put the lid back on and take to the bank like that…I can prep 4mm in one bottle, 6mm in another.
I have tried browning pumps, vacuvin, the other ones with the little clear thing on the end and the bycycle pump thing and the same ones with a blue pump and in the end, they all break. A bottle has never broke on me yet LOL.

TF_Waveney OneMy 2 year old grand-daughter was fascinated watching the pellets fall and rise in the water. Using a 2 pint milk bottle and 6mm Ringers Dark I couldn’t get more than about a 1/3rd to sink permanently though.
