Sounds like you are getting liners to me,
Could be your feeder is not emptying properly, so when you catch a fish early in the session the feeder is emptying on the way back, thus bringing the fish closer, you will then be casting over them with a full feeder…….hope this makes sense?

If you are not using a cage feeder try that, if you are, try a lighter GB mix.

It is on a slope, when you say liners is this because fish are comeing up off the deck..Iwas thinhing that loads of small fish have mnoved in and are mullering the G bait…

As “lump” said…sounds like the feeder is rolling down the slope…all it takes is a fish to nudge or “waft” past the feeder for it to roll down…its the same on twin oaks at WA…try a heavier feeder

I had that trouble at one fishery the feeder moved and when I tightened up every time it kept on moving a bit.

It could either be fish moving around the feeder or fish between you and the feeder swimming into the line.

As DaveD says, try a heavier feeder. The heavier the better when fishing on a slope!

use a back shot. place a bb 10 inches above the feeder might help?

it wouldnt really though would it? be a mission to break the line above this and also who said his rig was free running? But yeah we strapped aload of lead to cage feeders at WA worked a treat 🙂

As mentioned switch to a heavy cage feeder. You can get square cage feeders which are ideal for slopes.
