Method for fishing shallow venues upto 7ft, any deeper and I would use a pellet feeder. The reason for this is that the pellets come of a method feeder pretty quickly although I squeeze the mix onto the method evry tightly. Even still whatever mix your using breaks down quickly and so more often than not in the deeper water with a emthod your mix has come off before the method has hit bottom.

A pellet feeder keeps the mix in much better and I find it suits deeper venues a lot better.

The other reason I would use a pellet feefer over a method feeder is if the method is banned.

That’s my view on them anyway.

I use the pellet feeder when I want to introduce a lot of bait quickly as well as introduce differnt sizes of soaked pellet. When the fish are having it i will often feed soaked 6mm coarse pellets through a cage feeder with a hair rigged 8 or 10mm on the hook. Deadly!!
