  hiya could anybody please help me. i haven.t been fishing long and i.m in a match on the island lake a week on suday. could anybody give me any advice on how to fish it and what baits to use ? thanks very much.

  Most go for the carp, fishing 8 &/or 11mm fishery pellets on bomb or waggler (check their website for waggler rules). Strong line and a rod to match, the average carp will do you on average gear. Some fish short for the skimmers, there’s loads of them but you need to catch fast to compete with carp. I think swimstim paste is popular for the skimmers, picks up other bonus fish too.
