Island is quite shallow 6 foot ish but it is full of features and snags. On some pegs you will need 12lb line and 10lb hook lengths to get the carp out.
Tripp is very deep, 15 foot in places but the locals dont fish that far out on the deck. It has also been fishing very funny, I was waterlicked on it a few weeks back and many locals were packing up, then it burst into form only to dip again last Saturday when no carp were caught.Its a fantastic lake, just hope its ok for your match.
Talk to Kevin if you can find him he knows his fishery inside out and will put you right on just about every peg.
Dont flout his rules though!!
