Gmax 1000, unless you struggle to lift a fairy cake, then get an airity, but dont expect to hold a rig still in any sort of wind with a power kit on lol :op

My Gmax1000 should be here this week.

It is unbelievably stiff – probably the stiffest pole available. This is important to me.

The finish is also less sticky, and it is strong enough for most if not all forms of fishing.

I’ve also bought a Carp Maxx (think that’s the name of it lol) to go with it, for spare sections or if I need something more beasty at close range.

The Gmax1000 is very very stiff, though the colmic x5000 was lighter, slimmer and stiffer when I had them up together at fosters.

I didn’t get a gmaxx 1000, or the colmic for that matter. My overall impression of the gmax was it was top heavy with a match kit on, just like the g10. Not quite as bad, but still top heavy. Would have killed my back at 13m, felt as heavy as my older maver distinction (the distinctions’s about 950gm at 13 m). I went with a sensas 774 in the end, as I do little carping anyway and it was light, stiff and felt the nicest with the best range of spares.

G max 1000 is an awesome pole , just had approx 130lb of carp & silvers in a pleasure session .

had a couple of near double figure carp and handled with ease~clap ~clap

i have just sold my airity and am now looking at getting the new gmax 1000 so any advice would be great

Gmax 1000 is a great pole got mine last week have used it at 19mts it is miles better than the g10

Not going to say anything about other poles – Just to say the GMAX1000 is a an improvement on the G10 and I would recommend anyone who wants a flagship pole to buy it, great value sheer class you realise that as soon as you put it over the water, never mind waggling it about in a tackle shop, that doesn’t give the true impression – I gurantee you wont be disappointed if you choose the GMAX1000 ~clap
