I’ve wasted more money than I dare think about on cheap & not so cheap suits over the years, eventually I went direct to Halkon Hunt & got a Gortex suit made to measure, it cost about £240, but its well worth the money & I wish I’d bought one years ago.

                Protak for true vfm.

HH for those that have to have it at any cost.

I have both Goretex and Protak TR. Both do their job, only one works for less money.

With waterproof clothing, it’s the same as many other things in life. You only get what you pay for.
If it’s Goretex it will keep you dry – as long as you look after it.
Halkon Hunt is excellent – but so are many other Goretex products. Look at walking/outdoor clothing and equipment. The prices might surprise you. Just because they aren’t “Angling” specific doesn’t mean you can’t wear them for fishing.

Easy if you have the flagship pole in the range you buy flagship clothing ie. Halkon Hunt.
If you buy the next model down you will be more than happy with Protak
