Good to see some new fishing on the TV – was this the Guru DVD or a new servies shot specially ?

Thought steve looked a bit nervous, did you see them shakes, like getting your first fish in on a match.

Its a new series totally seperate to the DVD. And Maker my hands always shake, always have whatever the situation.

Anyone who doesn’t have Sky may be pleased to hear that it’ll be available on DVD in the near future I have been told.

An enjoyable half hour, with a decent format, both presenters come across very well, I have a couple of suggestions to perhaps enhance it for future shows.

I think a little bit of levity is needed to really entertain us anglers, and elevate the show to cult status, so may I suggest Alex wears a dinner jacket, bow tie and monocle,and sits on Steve’s lap, Steve should put his hand up Alex’s back and pretend to perform a ventriloquist act, this would be further enhanced if Alex is able to rotate his head 360 degree’s whilst grinning inanely……..what do the rest of you think?

I must just say, I find it difficult to take anything angling related seriously anymore, must be my age.

🙁 I was really looking foward to this but didn’t know it was on and now i’ve missed the repeats as well.

I don’t suppose there is anywhere else i can see it is there?

Top show designed for the match angler … at last! no (feathered) birds, flowers or Mr Crabtree swims.

CarpMagic – The point about spraying pellet over the top of the method feeder… are you trying to get the loose pellet tight over the feeder or does it matter if its a yard or so short? (as it appeared in the show, though I guess that might have been the camera angle), wouldn’t a yard off pull the fish away from the tight casting area?

Maker – I found I couldn’t series link off of the repeats only the original show at 6pm Mondays (I think).

i think they were just spraying to make some noise, something for the carp to home in on then hopefully find the feeder…

Mine dont either which is annoying as Im going on me hols and wont be able to record

Absolutly great learned loads,questions and answers between both where exactly the kind of instruction i wanted to help my own fishing.Cant wait for the next episode if they did that through out a typical fishing season
the the skill of the average angler would massivley improve.And you dont have to pay 10 quid for a dvd,then see it in pound land two months later for a quid..Thanks steve and alex…
