Hi, could anyone help me with fixing the bush in place when making a side puller. Ive cut down the maver internal bush to about half length, put plenty of glue around it and then pushed it into the hole where its a nice tight fit. The problem is, the glue doesnt hold it in place because when you pull on the elastic, the bush wants to pull sideways and come up out of the hole if that makes sense. Im using Evo stick glue which sticks everything else perfect. The problem as i see it is that there is not enough for the glue to grip onto- you only have the lip of the bush for the glue to bond to. Is this a problem that anyone else has? I just want the bush fixed rigidly in place so that it doesnt ride up on one side when pulling the elastic out of it.

try a different glue…super glue or araldite. May work better although im just guessing.

Nitro you are correct the bush does not have enough materiai(carbon)to grip on to, you need to get a carbon wrap on the ploe section before you drill it for the bush, contact one of the many pole repair people about will not cost more than £8 for the wrap.

ive got the wrap! Still exactly the same amount of surface area to glue to, which is the lip under the bush.
