you will be lucky to find any matches for your age groups unfortunatly youngsters are not coming into match fishing in the numbers they used to. my advice carry on fishing opens learn and progress its the only way.

I agree with Whatsaroach carry on fishing the opens, IMO you will learn more and become a much better angler in doing so.

if your not sure you have done it right have a chat to the guys around you most will advise or tell you what they have done and how they have caught at the end of the match. If they won’t then try someone else. Anyone who stops learning thinks they are better than they are no matter what their age.

Where are you fishing all those open matches where you often frame? How big are these matches?

Why do you want to fish against less experienced match anglers if your already winning against better quality anglers?

If you want to learn and become a better quality match angler. Target the bigger matches in your area. Your in an area where you have loads of choice of venues with good sized matches and both high quality match anglers and lots of venue experts to compete against and learn from! You will also find the other 18ish aged match anglers who are attempting to learn and compete at a good level within match angling!

Makins , tunnel barn , cudmoore are very good venues with a high class of angler.
