TF_Gary the gudgeonThe manager of England is suddenly not up to the job, sounds very familar, everytime our team underperforms the cry goes up that we must have a new manager. When we win today all the silly immature criticism will suddenly be forgotten and if we lose all the England two-faced fans will say it’s the managers fault.
THERE HAS BEEN ONE CONSTANT THROUGHOUT OUR MANAGERIAL CHANGES THE UNDER-PERFORMING, OVERPAID IMMATURE LITTLE CHILDREN THAT REPRESENT OUR COUNTRY.
WHEN WILL PEOPLE REALISE THAT THIS GENERATION CONSISTS OF WHINGING “BLAME ANYBODY BUT THEMSELVES” CHILD LIKE ADULTS -

TF_SwimfeederYep! Except for one thing, the England Captain has gone on record after the Algerian game and said;
” We let the Country down by under performing, we aim to put that right by winning”
That does not sound to me like he is blaming the Italian mercenary to me!

TF_herbiegary its purely down to media hysteria and stupidity. if you want your country to win a comp then all the country should take great care to keep the team focused on that competition simples.
what do we do. our aussie owned papers go out of there way to slag off 50% of our defence on non football related matters. so we then get the peabrains who live in bigbrotherland climbing on board because they hate chelsea or man u which creates panic amongst the rest of the players who wonder when its going to be there turn. effect
eye off the ball, crap performances, loads of hysteria = more panic in the squad = poor performance. take rooney for instance. one man out of eleven , his job is to score goals, the rest of the team fail to supply and decent crosses, outcome ???? rooney is slated as a failier and the airwaves are full of dickheads saying he should be dropped. effect on rooney = lack of confidence caused by media/fan hysteria outcome = early exit = managers fault. stupidity reins in england far more than anywhere else so the outcome is we stiffle our players and win sod all. -

TF_Garyherbie, it sounds like stupidity is reigning in France as well. Did you read that the government got involved in the world cup team’s torment? Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that with England!

TF_Gary the gudgeonswimfeeder, is that the same player who 5 years ago said ” I do not want to be selected for England as we have some big club games coming up”

Neither do I. If he gets pushed out it will give the FA the scapegoat they are looking for. The FA are totally to blame for this as are the premier league. A new manager will mean the FA walking away for another two years till the next dismal failure in 2 years time.

TF_piperpilotIn a land where few people are willing to take final responsibility I’m sure there will be a frantic frenzy of buck passing and denial. The buck stops with the coach and the FA who should all resign forthwith. Sadly England were undoubtedly the third worst team at the WC but the so called team can console themselves in an orgy of Booze/Gambling/Flash Cars and all the trappings of the excessive lifestyle they all seem to enjoy so much. God how we need a team of Ryan Giggs’s,

No thanks. Always putting his club before his country. First in the ref’s ear if a dissision goes against his team. He’s no different to the others.

TF_geepsterParticipantYou can’t keep blaming the manager, decade after decade….
The bottom line is that the players are not good enough, choke, or both.
I think the manager didn’t have a great tournament, but you simply can’t blame him for that Algeria performance.
An England team with no manager should be able to beat Algeria four nil.
But they can’t, because they ain’t any good. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. -

TF_herbiejoff is correct shower of shit. not worth sending anymore teams to any tournaments just send the media who talk shit all the time with green top man.sack cappelo and give the job to the tea lady she couldnt cock it up any more than he has. at least our cricket team has sorted itself out~clap how?? they picked the men for the job and left the stars in the stands. lesson to be learned there me thinks.

Well, I would not go for another Volvo or Fiat, perhaps we should go for a Honda or maybe a Suburu?

TF_Man of Kentdon’t know why we’re getting het up about this; the prima donnas went out at the right time. Rooney is not solely to blame and JT’s positioning and ill-timed attacking was the biggest let down of all against Germany. As has been said, the players should shoulder the responsibility, but it also has to be said that Capello’s substitutions were dreadful and his inflexibility woeful. however, it should also be noted that, whilst the media didn’t whip us into the normal frenzy this time around, they’re always ready with the hatchet in the run up when some things are better off left until a better time. I know they have to sell papers/programmes, but wouldn’t it be nice if they could keep thing realistic and not negative for once.
Let’s now have a proper debate within the FA and FIFA regarding salary capping at a realistic level, ‘cos none of these people are worth 5% of what they really earn and they are clearly not motivated or need money.

ForestEverForestParticipantYes Cappello must go, admittedly the players did not perform, but Cappello failed in his selection and tactics.
Sticking with 4 4 2 was just being stubborn to the point of stupidity, when everyone from Lineker, Hansen, Shearer and Owen etc were all suggesting Gerrard played behind Rooney.
Defoe and Rooney together was never going to work and what was Heskey doing in South Africa in the first place??

BatesoParticipantIn some ways the manager must shoulder some blame. Some of his tactical decisions were poor especially bringing hesky and wron-phillips on when we were chasing the game against Germany! And he was a stubborn sa and so by not changing things when it obviously wasn’t working.
The blame must lie with the players! Lets face facts we have NO world class players! We have some very good ones but they didn’t even show up! But player for player we should have beaten all 4 teams that we faced.
As for the players Rooney was terrible, he didn’t get service but when he did he couldn’t control his own bladder never mind a football. Gerrard???!!!??? Apart from the good start against USA he quickly went down hill! The defence were like school boys with no clue what so ever! Gareth Barry even when fit is about as slow as a snail. He didn’t play our best keeper due to no experience! He decided to play a cripple, then an old timer, then the worst centre back in England. Why didn’t he give Dawson a game? he has outperformed all of the above defenders for the 2nd half of last season. Why take players with no experience if your never going to play them for that reason? Lets face it they couldn’t have done any worse.
I could go on and on and on but I have wasted enough of my time talking about it for the last couple of days.
