hi guys, had a go at pellet waggler fishing last week for the first time.was worried that the line would get damaged and break where the shot were.and guess what…..it did.what is the best way of attaching a unloaded pellet waggler.cheers.andy.

thread some pole float rubber up the line then place the shot on that. another way to do it is to use a bimini twist http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-tie-a-bimini-twist
attach a swivel to the loop for your hooklenght and the shot can lock onto the finshed twist. this knot dosnt loose any strenght out the line. the first idea is the easyest as this knot is a bit awkward to tie.

just use a loaded waggler fixed on the line with drennan float stops, simple!
if the loaded waggler needs any extra shotting then wrap some soldier wire around the bottom of it, easy no shot on line to damage it, feather it in it wont dive down…

i agree with smed best way mate the loaded wagglers you can get at boddy or clatercote ressy are the dogs nuts and only £1.50 a pop.the plus side with using drennan stops double up you can slide them to go any depth and if you leave a gap between them 4 or so inches twich the rod and it will kick up the pellet making it look like there falling through the water again ~shh

                      Try using softer shot?
Swapped back to shot straight on the line two years ago after trying doubling the line to put the shot on and using Steve Mayo’s adaptors.
Not had a single breakage in that time, despite having many tons and fish averaging 5-7lb each with odd ones well over 10lb.
I use Anchor Double Cut shot and 6lb Ultima Power Plus mainline.
Certainly get more bites using a unloaded float on hard fished waters, in my opinion. They pop up much faster, keeping the float and bait right in front of the fish at that crucial moment when you are likely to get a bite.

~think steve mayo adapters and the mavers floats there ok but the maver floats are pants the float came sto pieces on 4 ocations making it a very exspensive day also the rubber on the bottom of the mayo adapter perished as well ££££ £4 mayo and float £1.50 boddington bomb proof straight as a dye go were you tell um to floats.you do the maths ~clap
