Repeated: Sat. 2.30am Sky Sports 2
5am Sky Sports 4
7am Sky Sports 3
Keith’s guest in the bothy on this week’s Tight Lines is sea angler Paul Fenech. Paul inherited his love of angling from his father and has honed the skills learned in his native north-east to enable him to catch fish around the country, from the shore or afloat. Paul works as a journalist for our most-read sea angling magazine so his finger is firmly on the pulse of the sport.
If there’s anything you want to ask Paul or Keith, please get your question in as soon as possible via an e-mail to [email protected].
Keith joins Dover-based charter boat captain Mike Williams aboard his magnificent new boat Grey Fox to venture out to the sandbanks of the English Channel in search of turbot. This member of the flatfish family is relatively scarce at the eastern end of the Channel but, being renowned for both fighting qualities and taste, is a worthy adversary.
The culmination of our Young Angler of the Year photo competition arrives at Barston Lake in the West Midlands when our monthly winners meet and fish with their angling heroes. The weather and conditions are both perfect, the fish play ball and our youngsters have the day of their dreams.
Keith takes his regular look at the prospects for the weekend with invaluable information for anglers of all disciplines. He’ll be talking conditions, the most effective baits and tactics and some typical venues around the UK to put all the advice to the test.
On next week’s show Keith will be joined by game angler Charles Jardine. Not only a gifted fisherman, he’s also one of the most colourful characters on the scene and he’ll be sharing his unique insight into the sport with you.
Please keep the questions, and your photos for the ‘Young Angler of the Month’ competition, coming in via e-mail to [email protected].
