Do people use 1piece tied off at the bung or two pieces tied together at each end?

Tied both ends and use dacron connector,i never use stonfos anymore as there too big and can easily get snaggad up when fishing against reeds, snags etc

Just started giving the new Preston stuff a go ,3 weekends running ,superb in my opinion!! so much easier to thread then just pull apart,it is very soft though.

I just double up the elastic and tie both loose ends together, then I fit a dacron connector to the looped end. Then I thread the knotted end down through the pulla kit and tension it on the elastigate system i have fitted.

                    no knot needed.
thread the lacky through the stonfo,
pass the double end of elastic down the top kit,
wind on to adjust-a-bung of your choice, job done.
no knots must be better than knot, just make sure you have enough elastic to wrap around the bung as to trap it.

I would strongly advocate a puller kit / bung – any hard fighting / heavy carp will be difficult to lift with any light double lacky under “normal” tension – the alternative is to leave the No5/ 5 on – not my preferred option
