mates thinking of buying one- do you need spare z7 no. 4’s for lumps, etc.?
what line and laccy strengths in practice?
comparisons with other newish poles and z9 drawbacks please.

I have caught carp upto 10lb in the margins on my Z9 no4 with no problems, but i do also have the Z7 no4’s but never used them.
I biggest elastic i usually use is black hydro but i have now got some 16/18 latex in for the margins, using Silstar 0.20.
I am really happy with my Z9 and anyone that knows me will tell you i have had loads of top end poles and am always changing and swapping them but this one is staying put. (until the Z11 comes out anyway. lol)
The pole is light, responsive and rigid. It is a pleasure to use and in my opinion one of the best poles on the market and when you consider it costs £1750 compared to most flagship poles that are well over £2000 its a bargain.

like craigm said the pole is brill. theres a lot of them around my way now and i havent heard one bad comment yet. i used a z7 4th this summer but only cos it was cheaper to break (which i havent)! Ill use the orginal z9 4th soon as sport slows. Best money ive ever spent and I would buy another one if it was stolen.
ive also heard that you can now have the z9 with their new 2 hole side puller kits instead of the pmks at no extra cost.
