have a look in the walking shops or sking shops they do some neoprene ones but they do have grip on them alot of them so might have to wear them back to front so the grip is on the back of the hand or u can use them surgical gloves the hospitals use the prob with these is there sticky so u need a cheap pair off cotton ones over the top so u can ship in an out, there totally waterproof thou an keep ur hands warm.

Liberal amount of vaseline rubbed into the back of the hands and fingers. Better than most gloves.

Surgical gloves OK but your hands will sweat and after five hours you may have prune like fingers.

Neoprene generally crap in my opinion and too tight.

Fingerless gloves from Decathlon have been my best purchase so far, these are ones sold for the dinghy and yacht users. Suede leather and expandable backs, they can get wet but your hands stay warm but not totally dry.

any barrier cream will do but put it on before you leave the house give it time to soak in. i use cycling gloves and if this winter is anything like last they will be on every week

Coming from Yorkshire I usually stick my hands in the freezer before I go out in the winter and it always seems much warmer when I’m fishing then ~shh

I have some of those neoprene jobbies where you can pop out your finger and thumb not sure there any good like I always. End up taking them off when I start catching fish

Getting gloves to fit is the first thing, neoprene is just too uncomfortable.
Got some nice ones from cabelas that I use when very cold.

Dont bother with gloves, try Neutogena hand cream (unscented). I’ve worked out side in the worst of the British weather, and this stuff really helps.Rub it in and it forms a waterproof barrier to your hands, and the stuff lasts for ages.
