Tubertini stix and Garbo DS9’s are both good punch floats for canals,hookwise gama greens are a decent pattern for worm.

Fox mp6, hooks are right but if your bagging on bloodworm try a b511 and just pinch the barb

best bloodworm hook i used was drennan ultra fine pole dont know if they still do them ,as havn’t fished bloodworm for a few years

Gamma green everytme or Gamma black if big skimmers are on the cards.

Bloodworm hooks- If you like the shape of the 3530’s try the Drennan Polemaster competition (used to be called the Super Carbon Canal) as they are just a little tougher, Failing that use the Barbless Fox MP1’s, or Image IM1b which are a similar shape but as they have no barb you shouldn’t bend them unhooking them, just use a nice soft elastic 0.6 latex or a no.2 to keep the fish on the hook.

I’m with drawbag that the auchy is a great float, I can’t work out why they don’t do a 0.2gm and 0.3gm float in the range. Is rather annoying. I’ve been using the tubertini stix in lighter sizes instead, is a good float…and fibreglass bristle is very easy to see. Similarly on the oencil float line, you can look at the rive scotthorne series 110, or the rive series 43…both are similar floats.

I have been seeking Rob Potiingers( won the garbo clubman of the year award) help on the design of a canal punch float as he is the best I have seen fishing this method, even Dave coster wrote about potty’s prowess on the bread in anglers mail after being pegged next peg to him, again more recently in the gerrards cross teams of 4 on a cold clear river colne potty did the bizz on the bread winning his section with over 10lb no fish bigger than a few ounces.

The 1M is an excellent hook. I like the 2T for some of my canal caster / breadpunch fishing.
