Average-AlParticipantI am the proud owner of a FOX MSB 1, the one with the folding footplate, and notice on another post a couple of members advocate getting the Fox MSB Euro. The difference between the two being the cassette type footplate and round legs on the Euro and the MSB 1 with square legs and, as I mention above a folding footplate. Is one really any better than the other~think

i have the euro an find it slighty lighter than the msb 1 which my m8 has dont think there is any differance otherwise other than personal prefrence on how u like ur footplate i.e sliding or folding and whether u like round or square legs i prefer round legs myself and the euro seems to fit in the car better too

TF_DecaffI felt that the Euro was stronger & more stable.I intended on purchasing the MSB1 but changed my mind once i sat on them.I think the leg height is also different(not sure about this now though),which allows to add extra trays etc.The front legs are definitely longer, maybe even too long in fact.
Having previously owned a Rive it also meant that i had no need to buy other add ons,as the Rive & Preston ones fit perfectly. -

Average-AlParticipantAndy85 and Decaff, thanks for the feedback, had my box, which i bought second hand not been such a good deal I would probably have got the euro myself but very happy with what I have. Mine also came with 2 additional units which I use for floats but in time I will replace these with the winder draw units as they are so much easier to access (more money than sence I know) The only other way this box could be improved imo is with lifting handles/straps like those on the match box.

Couldn’t agree more about the handles, one of the only things to let it down imo.
Don’t waste your money on more drawer units, they’re heavy & offer less winder storage than the trays. I’ve lined my trays with draught excluder & they now house Rive winders perfectly. -

TF_Man of KentI agree with Neil. the drawers are only convenient to get hooklengths and accessories from when you don’t want to get off you box mid match. The double tray sections will hold at least 4 Fox winder trays plus a few additional loose ones for random rigs such as pole feeder/pole method or those on long winders etc. Much better IMO

Average-AlParticipantNever thought about the weight aspect Neil though there can’t be much in it every little helps as the saying goes. I will stick with the draw units I have and make my next purcase the MSB bump bar. Fully kitted out then I think lol

TF_craigmI prefer having extra drawers, i like that everything is to hand then no matter what happens i can get to my rigs and terminal tackle etc without standing up – which can be the kiss of death to any margin swims you may have been feeding IMO. My MSB Euro consists of(from top) shallow tackle drawer, 4 x winder drawers, deep tackle drawer, then a double tray below the frame. I have removed the deep base as i don’t carry reels or anything that large.

I guess that’s one of the big pluses for this box, the configurations are almost limitless. ~clap
