I believe that it is going to be in the match mag in tomorrows edition of Angling Times…but there again at Angling Times the left arm don’t know what the right arm is doing so don’t hold your breath!!

Hi all, I tried to get the Angling Times at a few outlets this morning with no joy. Was wondering if it was only Scotland that hadn’t received them or was it the whole of the UK?~clap ~clap ~clap

I have a feeling the Xmas issue was to cover 2 Weeks so you may not see another one until 4th/5th Jan 2011.

It was advertised that the draw would be in the December 28th issue. I’ve tried lots of places this morning and not found any.

Hi Mike, nice to hear from you. Not been anywhere for 4weeks or so. Edens been frozen over, checked it today and its starting to flood. Might get somewhere this weekend hopefully.

There’s been a delay because of the Bank Holiday but the 28th December issue of the Angling Times should be in the shops today.

Not in any of my usual outlets today, still displaying 21 December issue and I know a couple of people who bought that yesterday without checking the date!

I’ve tried Tesco, Asda, WHSmith and Thoroughgoods and no joy.

I actually phoned Angling Times’s match editor Richard Grange this morning who told me that there was definitely an issue published for today but there have been delays. I didn’t have the brass neck to ask him who our club (Magiscroft AC) had been drawn against. Hopefully it will be out tomorrow. ~clap ~clap ~clap

The 28th December issue should now be in shops. Picked a copy up in Tesco this morning.

We have got Castle ac away? any idea who they are and a location?thats Castle ac v Holbeach ac,in the lincolnshire area!Believe they fish the nene and are from northampton,is this true?

And with 50 late entries there will now be 2 rounds before the semi.

This doesn’t add up. AT announced that win round 1 and straight through to the semi in Dec 14th addition as they had less entries than previous years, as they only had quote “we’ve still got over 200 teams fishing”
They still only have just over 200 teams fishing(206 to be exact), but have blamed the royal mail for 50 entries being late, so that would make 256 teams??? and now there is a round 2 because of these late entries??? This doesn’t make any sense.~think

Well it says 30 teams qualify from each region so that makes 90 teams through

If you saw the farce that was the pay out for the County Champs nothing surprise me about them moving the goalposts…

Anyone know who BABCOCKS AC have drawn and if its home or away thanks

They originally said 15 teams qualify from each region, so they have changed the goal post and now putting double the teams through to create a 2nd round. Why didn’t AT just say that, they must think we are stupid?~naughty

Its all a bit strange. If the full list is correct then 206 teams have entered, so that suggests a maximum of only 156 to start with if over 50 late entries. But the back page of AT refers to well over 200 teams.

Also, why would teams ring up and ask if their entries had been received?

I will try and explain, but if you have a copy of AT 14th of Dec and a copy of this weeks AT – read both columns at the back regarding the Supercup and you will see why the confusion.

Well here goes : if you have this weeks AT on the back page at the bottom midway through the Supercup post it says ” the full first round draw appearing in the free UKMatch Magazine inside next week’s Angling Times” obviously we have received the free UKMatch Magazine in this weeks AT, so I have assumed here they have wrote the wrong mag and the full list will be in the next weeks free mag.
At the end of the column it says ” Checkout the first round draw on pages 38 and 39 of the free UKMatch Magazine inside this issue of Angling Times” Having seen this contradition, I assumed the full list was going to be printed in whatever free mag it is next week and the first statement was a typo. I know the pages are wrong also.

In the UKMatch Magazine there are 206 teams, in the 14th dec AT issue it said they already had over 200 teams, in this issue it says they now have well over 200 teams, again I am assuming they were going to add the extra 50 late team entries – caused by royal mail delays weather,christmas etc.
I know its all a bit confusing, but if this is the full list, then the format must have been changed to accomodate a 2nd round draw, as the 14th Dec issue said they already had over 200 teams and 15 regional winners from the 1st round would go straight into the semi, as there wasn’t enough teams for a 2nd round?
I hope you understand, like I say if you read both columns you see what I mean.

The full Supercup first round draw was in this week’s free UKMatch mag on pages 36 and 37. There was a misprint on the back of this week’s Angling Times. Sorry for the confusion.

I am happy there is a 2nd round now it makes it a better competition.

I was just confused as to where the late 50 entries are.
Put simply 14th dec AT said they had over 200 teams due to this low number 15 regional winners from rnd 1 will go straight into the semi.

28th dec AT said we now have well over 200 teams due to 50 late entries which now enables there to be a 2nd round draw fished on a fixed date 6th May.

In UKMatch mag the draw shows there are 206 teams which is just over 200 in my book, so where are the 50 late entries? if this is the full list then on the 14 dec there must have only been 156 teams?

There should be at least 250 teams minimum now? This is why I thought the full list was going to be printed in next weeks free mag.

Anyway more rounds should crown the best team, so this makes it a better competition. I will stop pippin on.
