  In the latest match fishing mag, Dave Harrell is using Daiwa 6m tournament VIP rods.
  Has anyone got an idea of how much these bolo rods will be selling for and which retailers will be stocking them?
  I’ve been looking for bolo rods for a while, nearly got the garbo ones but fancy having a look at the daiwa’s before parting with my hard earned.

  they look just like any newer bolo rod…
  there are many options out there, incl shimano. but try to look at the german or italian market i expect they will carry a lower price down there.
  BTW you are looking for a light bolo rod for english use. in italy you can get a good bolo for approx Â£150.

  In an older article in match fishing Alan Scotthorne was using Shimano Speedmaster Bolo match rods. These rods are discontinued but apparently Shimano is bringing out some new bolo match rods.
  The Speedmasters were about have the price of the tournaments.

  shimano have some very nice ones, the top models apparently retail at approx 600 euro.
  
  for info: trabucco astore TXL is very good value for the money, and should be right for uk river use, and you might find one for as little as as Â£120 look for italian webshops.

  I have had a waggle with the new Shimano bolo match rods, Very, very nice. not sure when they will be out but they were now super ultegras so keep your eyes peeled.
