I’ve got skeetex field boots. Nice to walk in, keep my feet warm but leak from where the rubber joins the leather part of the boot.
This was when sat on the box out of the water! Was driving rain most of the day and my feet were still warm and I did not notice all day until I took my boots off and put my trainers back on!

Bought some hot foot boots this year, definitely nice and warm but wouldn’t want to walk a long way in them.

First boots I’ve owned that have actually kept my feet warm in sub zero temperatures.

I have found Sundridge Hotfoot boots to be the best thermal boots too, but they are not great for long walks (fine for commercials though). They certainly keep your feet warm and i dont even need to wear my sealskinz socks with them.
If I have to walk a fair distance or it is muddy and icy and I am concerend about conditions under foot i have a pair of Meindl Borneo gore tex walking boots. With a pair of merinho wool walking socks underneath they keep you feet reasonably warm all day, dont let water in or retain moisture and also provide good ankle stability and support.

I may be one of the few, but can;t go wrong with some skee-tex, the original ones. Had mine now 16 years odd and still waterproof, and still going strong. New liners ever other season and they are as good as new.

buy anything other than baffin trapper boots and your buying second best.
they may be expensive but mine are three years old and still like i’ve just got them out of the box.
and thats with regular fishing plus walking to work and back in them for approximately six weeks every day in the snow this year and last year.
i never get cold feet and you don’t even need thick socks on with them.

Skeetex field boots for me, I thought mine were leaking but it turns out they were damp due to my feet sweating they were that warm.
