Quorn angling society and other clubs in the area are having big problems with fish thieves taking fish from the canals and rivers most of the clubs do not issue day tickets on there waters and would ask the public to be aware of any suspicious going on’s around the canal and rivers thank you
        thanks joff leicester sensas

River Soar – abnove & below Loughborough.

My first time on the river – and I would definitely go again (although I felt like chucking my rods in the bin yesterday).
Slightly peggy on the deeps, with the row of hot pegs:
            1 skimmer
            47lb
            1 bream
            28lb
            2 bream

either that or I’m even worse than I thought ~think

the river was high and coloured so it put pay to the roach fishing i didn’t fish it yesterday but i’m sure it will turn out to be a good league
the section they used the deeps which is 30 metres wide and can be 10 to 15 foot deep it holds loads of bream in the winter and conditions probably too high yesterday but today would of been bang on
a section called the greens again holds big numbers of skimmers and bream but when the river is clear its very good for roach and perch and the odd tench even in winter
and the other section used was the sutton lane end and yet again good fishing for roach and bream in the winter
              all on the river soar

its a little better than commercials at the minute ~sick ~sick
