RESULTS FOR OPEN CONTESTS WEEK ENDING 16TH JANUARY 2011All pools are now ice free. Silverfish and f1 carp are feeding well on all pools to pole at 8-12m. Red maggot and pellet have been the best baits this week, fished on the bottom with groundbait.
Top Pool
All pegs have had f1 carp, bream, roach and perch feeding well to pellet with some silvers up in the water.Bottom Pool
Only one double figured carp has been caught this week on bread ledgered against the island. Lots of small carp and roach, bream, perch and the odd chub on maggot or pellet fished hard on the bottom.House Pool
Fish on 8m line for f1 carp, roach, perch and bream. Use red maggot straight lead to the island for the odd big carp. Pellet and corn have also gone well.Extension pool
10m to the dark cover of the island for f1 carp and commons on pellet. Roach, bream and perch up/down in the water to maggot.New Pool
Every peg has been producing fish on the pole waggler and straight lead to the islands. Mainly f1 carp, roach, perch, and chub. The bigger carp have been against the islands.Canal Pool
Red maggot has been dominating this pool with fish at 6-12m with groundbait Lots of silverfish and f1 carp showing.Club Pool
Pellet at 9m down the shelf has been the best for f1 and f2 carp, bream and roach. Maggot for perch and barble.Jenny’s Pool
Pole at 10m and waggler to the island with maggot or pellet for f1 carp and silverfish.
