TF_herbiethere are a couple of things with regards to this fiasco at sky that bother me.
the conversation they both had was private . between two people. for no one elses ears. right. they did not consent to its publication so you must assume sky did.??? if not then a member of the sky group leaked it out without permition.
now assume that you and your wife have a 18 year old daughter who is dating a known drug dealer who happens to originate from elsewhere.you say to your wife how unhappy you are in terms that in todays mummy society would be consrtude as racist. the chap next door works for the murdoch group and is tapeing your conversation and puts it in the public domain.
question. should you both be sacked from your jobs??? for making racist remarks about your daughters boyfriend.
secondly. with regards men and women. i thought we were deemed equal in the eyes of the law. so where does the word sexism rest in 2011 when we are all the same.
a women linesman’s knowledge of the game is called into question = sexist
a mans knowledge of the game is called into question = banter.
question how is that equall in the eyes of the law.
question
where are the cival liberties people who appear at the drop of a hat when minorities are involved . surely both ( and whether you like them or not i dont particularly care) there liberties have been trampled on big time by a corperation with a dodgy track record to say the least.
if this kind of behaviour is allowed to continue how long before we reach the same level as germany in the 30s where friend snitched on friend ???? we all know where that led dont we.
food for thought. -

TF_piperpilotVarious mainstream Television adverts are now clearly ‘Sexist'(Bull5hit Word) towards MEN, Nowadays a lot of people are offended simply because they choose to be. As they say ‘Down Under’ Build a bridge and get over it, Personally I absolutely hate ‘Sky TV’ so their moronic PC sackings!!! have only reinforced my views about them,

TF_MICK THE BOOKIEHerbie…….Brilliant my son.Your views are shared by many.I would just like to say one thing about Mr Keys.He is an arrogant, chavonistic.talentless, smallminded knob, who knows f*** all about football. If this is logged i suppose i will end up in court…..But i am prepared to take my punishment in Holloway HMP without regret.
By the way Herb i have booked you a spot at Hyde Park Corner this Sunday to give everyone a chance to hear your views….Go for it mate……Take care you old bugger.~shh ~shh ~shh ~shh ~shh -

TF_JohnHWise words indeed Herbie. There is clearly a hidden agenda here.
Watched Top Gear the other day with John Bishop the guest, at the end the Porshe on set had no wheels on,was propped up on bricks and Clarkson said “I knew this would happen when we had a scouser on the show”.
This to me was much worse than the Sky incident if you took it any other way than light hearted banter.
Keys and Gray off mic had a bit of a go, just like many others would have down the pub. Its a long standing joke about women and the offside rule. After the apology the matter should have been closed, the fact that it was not, clearly shows that other issues came into play IMO.
Sky profits up today BTW as more of you are subscribing so clearly whatever agenda is being followed some are getting very rich on it. -

TF_GaryWhy did this even make the news? The real headline was:
“SHOCKER: Two blokes at football match banter about competence of match official”
I did think Sky’s football coverage was in need of freshening up, though – guess this is a cheap way of doing it.

TF_pr@nglerC’mon Gary, they linked her competence to her gender, which is rather different.
Would you say someone was crap at her job because she was a woman at your work place?

TF_fishcatcher4gray got the sack for pervin at a female sports reader, which is totally different from banter about women not knowing the offside rule.

I have just switched Sky News on and that obnoxious cow Kay Burley is wearing her blue Murdoch frock again ! some poor sod has to smash that every now and again !! ~sick News corp / News International are corrupt to the core , it also seems they have a certain senior met officer in their back pocket aswell ~think

TF_big jakeParticipantI have the misfortune to have to sit through ‘Loose Women’ now and again with the ‘better half’. They seem to spend the majority of their show taking the p**s out of us blokes and they get nominated for a tv award????

TF_Serious SamSeems you can’t be a victim of racism if you’re white and you can’t be a victim of sexism if you’re male.
Tough life being a white bloke nowadays, they won’t rest until they’ve hunted us to extinction .

bit of a strange one this mate. ask yourself when did the offence occur? was it reported at the time? and why did sky not act at once???

just what does the word equal mean to you???
how is it ok for the media 24 hrs a day to say a manager is rubbish or radio 5 , alan green constatly slags off match officials as do managers how is this not sexist if you were a homosexual. if a person enters the world of referee,s then they should not be supprised when they have the michael taken out of them. being female has nowt to do with anything.but my point is. it was a private conversation full stop. the recording would be inadmissable in a court of law. so how would you like your next conversation about your mother in law put in the public areana without your express permition??? by murdoch or el presidenti as cameron call him followed by sir -

the offence occured in december according to the news i cant say weather she reported it or if sky acted at once.they proberbly cant act at once because they would have to clear it with lawyers and with gray being at sky for so long she might have been afraid to report him.
i know if it had been one of my daughters i wouldn’t have liked it.this was totally different from banter amongst men it was directed at the lady who was stood near him. -

TF_herbiesorry does not wash mate. i know of nowhere that he would not have been suspended asap if reported. i agree with you re your girls i feel the same and im not in the slightest defending him. its the way its been done that worries me. smacks of creating a smokescreen to defelct real issue,s. like your phone being tapped, and our police force being in murdoch,s pocket. also the way everyone exept the guardian and the BBC are going out of there way to poo poo these alegations especialy talk sport who have gone overboard in there critism. what i cant work out is why a private conversation between two adults should cause their reporters such offence????????????????? unless of course murdoch told them too~sick

TF_pr@nglerIf “being female has nowt to do with anything” then why did they say it was because she was a woman?
Its acceptable to say that someone is incompetent if they are incompetent. In most cases its wrong to say that the lack of competence is because they are a woman. Of course there will be exceptions to that, but understanding the offside rule is not one of them.

you make some valid points herbie especially about the smokescreen and murdock and the police.i still think they were right to sack him for what he said to the female presenter(cant remember her name) but then again i am biased i never liked andy gray.haha.

TF_Leaky LloydSo, Sky Sports presenters make comments OFF AIR belittling women and are promptly sacked or forced to resign from there jobs, Yet we have a program called loose women who publicly point out mens shortcomings on a daily basis live on national tv, and they win a national award for it ?????? “whats that all about “?????

TF_herbieits called cake and eat it feminism. they the women are exempt, can say what they want because there women, and its a well known fact men dont listen too them.trouble is nowadays 60% of men are also girly,s and they do get offended quite easily. all i can say is as my equal women should expect me to treat them the same as men thats called equality its what they strive for, but for some reason they only want to be equal when it suits and girly when it doesn,t. ask yourself one simple question. how many times have you seen a bloke broken down at the side of the road , where 3 women have stopped to push his car to safety?????. bet the answer is 100% never.when the answer reaches 50% they will truely be equal.

TF_fishcatcher4i agree herbie.sky have obviously been saving the clips of grey and the others incase they sue for wrongful dissmissal, but nothing is off air if you are in a studio and have a mic on.i stick by what i said earlier that he deserved the sack for the the way he spoke and leered at the femail presenter, the rest of what he said i think he would have got away with an apology.

~clap ~clap ~clap Herbie….If any male stops to help a “Damsel” in distress on the side of the road in this day and age he is leaving himself wide open for massive trouble.Nowadays Men steer clear of stopping for the “weaker sex” in fear of allegations made against them.I personally will stop to help a Male driver in trouble, but never a woman….That is a terrible indictment of modern times, and is caused by the ilk of “loose women” on TV,and the female do-gooders who love the feel of “Mens Trousers” on their person.
Equality means equality on both sides, not more for one of them than tother.~naughty ~naughty ~naughty -

TF_dirkdigglerthe thing that makes me spew is the way rubbish like this ruins one time quality bbc programming.
i refer to question time on thursday evening, once a reasonable opportunity to see politicians squirm whilst dimbleby, the panel and audience attempted to tear them apart about important issues of the week.
this week we were subjected to 20 mins of phone tapping and 20 mins of andy gray.
with questions regarding the economy and state of the country etc left until it was too late at the end of the show.utter tripe.

tunnel topperfirstly, who is mr. keys? never herd of him until this week.
secondly, we have mens football for men and womens football for women only; no male players or officials. so why do we have female officials in the premiership?ooops! sound like i am sexist, who is going to sack me from my job of cooking, cleaning, washing, looking after the kids etc. not the mrs. thats for sure.
are men making these comments/decisions because they are frightened of her in-doors?
