TF_CraftytaftyI’ve got 2 Silver fish matches on the match lake at Hemmington ( Rycroft)
The first is this saturday coming ( 5th Feb), the second is the following saturday the 12th.Draw is 9am, fish 10-15 to 3-30.
£20 all in ( £6 pegging fee)I’ve got 15 up to now for this saturday and i’d like to get up to 20, but I could go to 24 and just leave corners out.
It’s float only ( so you can fish the wag or pole) bloodworm allowed, no carp ( no F1’s either)
depending on how many i get I’ll pay perhaps top 3 and 2 sections
eg, if I got 20, that’s 20 x £20 = £400 – £120 pegging leaves £280i’d pay £90 £70 £50 and 2 £35 sections
My numbers 07709338595
Andy
I’m also doing a few wednesday one’s till March same rules/ times etc.

TF_CraftytaftyI would think I may get 8 or 10 the way it’s looking although I’m waiting on confirmation from some, so it may not be worth your while, it’s a long way for that.
I think it will be about that figure most weeks, we don’t get more than 10 or 12 midweek very often in the middle of summer on the Moat when’s it’s the carp matches, so this time of year 10 is quite good.
pity as the fishing is really good, everyone will catch. If I do look like getting more though in the future i’ll let you know

TF_CraftytaftyThanks Joff, I will. What I do is put it in a plastic container in about an inch of water, then every 2 days put it on a maggot riddle and take the skins off and then put in fresh water. Don’t know if that’s right but I,ve had mine nearly 2 weeks and it seems ok.
I hope you can come sometime cos it is good. I wish I could get a dozen or 15 every week, be brilliant.
If it doesn’t take off, I shall still go myself once a week, cos I’m really enjoying the fishing. I think I’ve been getting a bit bored carping 3 times a week, and the variety of both is good. -

TF_Craftytaftynot many there today but everyone had 4lb plus.
9lb 3oz won, then 9lb 1oz, then 6lb.
Not bad considering we only fished 4 hours and the conditions. There was a lid on it but Brooksy cleared it for us and the lake thawed almost completely by 3 o clock( probably didn’t help actually.
Most fish caught on caster over a bit of joker, too many small fish on Bloodworm,
Skimmers didn’t show, ( which makes me wonder why I sat with double caster trying to catch them for most of the match ~think lolshould be clear for saturday with the wind and temperature forecast.
if you’re interested pm me or ring me, got around 15 so far

TF_CraftytaftyYeah, fished really well considering the conditions.
I pegged all round the cafe bank.( 2 to 14 plus peg 30) I drew peg 6 which i wouldn’t really have liked to put in under normal conditions, but that was tuff on me cos I pegged it.
32lb won off peg 10, Roach, skimmers and perch on caster, some real quality roach.
2nd 25lb off peg 11, caster again, but with some big Perch as well as Roach and a couple of skimmers.
3rd 20lb off peg 2, skimmers and roach, caster again.
16lb, 14lb, then 2 11lb’s.Most fish caught on caster. dispels the bloodworm theory!!!!!!!
personally I need to get the fixation that I need to catch skimmers to win out of my head. Every time I picked my short rig up and fished caster I caught roach, but I spent nearly 4 hours trying to catch skimmers, but that’s my problem for me to sort.Brilliant fishing in my opinion, everyone had bites and caught fish.
32lb of silvers to win in the first week in feb is awesome, especially with the backing weights.
Hopefully next week the conditions are better and I can peg it better. ( prob fish cra*p then lolol)

TF_Craftytaftyit’s going colder next week, high pressure. Think the wind will drop for the winter league.
Brooksy said a bloke on 16 on the canal chucking the feeder across fishing pinkie on the hook had 30 carp/
if i did that on there next week, i’d catch 30 roach ha ha
