I have had carp up to around 4lb on the Drennan Silverfish Maggot. Its a great hook in sizes 18 and 20 and I prefer it to the tubertini 808 or Kamasan B611 for maggot and pinkie work with chance of bonus fish.

Used the maggot, what’s the difference between that and the match?

Very different shape but same wire gauge. Maggot being ‘mechanically’ stronger.

                      Nathan-
the silverfish match are a different shape to the silverfish maggot, and the match are flat forged, a thin round wire that has been flattened and both patterns keep there points unlike 808s
